The Rangecam Office System includes post-processing, editing, analysis and reporting capabilities for track measurement data. It can be used with Rangecam Grind Analyst to create rail grinding plans and post-grind QA based on previously-collected data.

STANDARD DATABASE

Profile measurement data is stored in a Microsoft Access database.

• well-supported industry-standard DBMS
• fast data access for queries and reports
• 'open' database. Data can be exported to spreadsheets and other applications for further analysis.

DATA PROCESSING FEATURES

A range of data processing features supports accurate identification and measurement of track measurement data.

• imports rail profile data from Laserail (ImageMap) and ORIAN (KLD Labs) optical measurement systems

• imports track geometry, GRMS and rail flaw data from a wide variety of sources

• automatic rail weight recognition 

• automatic rail wear classification using user-defined limits. Complex non-linear criteria can be specified in the Rangecam macro language

• optional thinning to reduce storage requirements

• a variety of options to model and measure rail to your requirements: best fit, one-side alignment, head-only modelling, error tolerances, flyer removal, user-defined gauge point, gauge face angle region-of-interest, etc. Options can be saved and restored for special needs.

DATA EDITING FEATURES

Data editing features are used to ensure the data quality required to generate trustworthy information.

REPORTING AND ANALYSIS

The RPR Office System also contains all features of Track Analyst, IMI’s premium reporting and analysis package for track data.

SUPPORTS TRACK ANALYST ENTERPRISE

Rangecam Office System supports both desktop MS Access database and terabyte-capacity Oracle or MS SQL Server databases residing on a central server. It is used to prepare track test data for uploading to the Enterprise database, allowing import and editing to take place off-line.
